Today, the visit at the market of Skherat ends in disappointment for our Moroccan team. They again meet donkey Michele and his owner. The bad wound at Michele’s back has not yet healed but nevertheless, his owner rode him to the market to do the shopping.
The team again treats his wound and “confiscates” the donkey for several hours but this is all they can do in a country lacking any animal welfare legislation. Our team is upset and disappointed but yet will continue their work. There is a silver lining at least: three kids show big interest in their work and want to help.
