Following the <link http: www.animals-angels.com projects europe romania investigations view archive article day>Animal Day 2015, together with two volunteers, Animals‘ Angels founder Christa Blanke inspects an animal transport carrying lambs from Romania to Italy.

Inside the vehicle, the floor height is insufficient for most of the animals as they touch the ceiling with their heads and backs. Insufficient floor height often accounts for injuries during transport and restricts the animals’ movement such that not all of them are able to reach the watering devices. As for the same reason air ventilation is restricted, the animals are likely to suffer from respiratory problems. This is why most of the lambs on this transport suffer from severe eye and nasal discharge.

Animals’ Angels will file a complaint to the competent Romanian veterinary service in Bukarest.
