ANIMALS’ ANGELS are present when approx 6540 sheep arrive on 10 trucks to the port for loading onto the Ocean Shearer which will take them to perhaps the Middle East or Turkey. The animals will be killed without pre-stunning. A lose sheep running around the port area is noted. Lack of height for the big sheep to stand naturally without touching the overhead structure is always a major issue with transports in Australia. Two possible downers were documented and one driver did check the sheep on his truck. Overall density was less in most trucks although some drivers still pen more on the top level than levels below.
