Animals’ Angels meet with DAFWA education extension to discuss the lack of educational material available to the agricultural industry in relation to painful conditions when they are accessing farmed animals for their fitness to sell and load.
We provided the DAFWA with a series of photos taken at saleyards showing painful conditions in both sheep and cattle which were not identified at the time as being painful. This indicated the need for relevant information be made available for the farmer/saleyard/transporter industry.
DAFWA have agreed to look at the issue and produce educational information to redress this problem.
