Anda and Animals‘ Angels check a truck transporting sheep and lambs from France to Southern Spain. This transport requires roughly 20 hours. Nevertheless the truck is not equipped for transporting animals for more than eight hours. Above all it does not have a watering system and no isolated roof, which can be fatal for the animals given the high temperatures. Additionally in some of the compartments the loading density is exceeded. The animals are clearly suffering, they gnash their teeth and many have nasal discharge. Anda and Animals’ Angels have informed the competent authorities in Spain and France and are currently waiting for response.
