Animals’ Angels observes the unloading of the animal cargo ship “Bader III” from Australia in the port of Martaş in Turkey.  35,000 Australian sheep were pent-up in this ship for more than three weeks to finally meet death in a Turkish slaughterhouse.  Many of them have already died on this journey and were thrown overboard.  There are also 7,000 Australian cattle on board, who have to endure yet another transport to Russia.  For many years a lot of animal welfare organisations have campaigned against these cruel exports to which the Australian government should put an end.  Alas, economic interests override ethical concerns.  Nevertheless, animal welfare organisations will continue to fight for a ban of live animal exports from Australia.
