Animals Angels visit Hamilton sale yard where approx 16000 sheep are for sale. Most sheep appear in good condition however we observe a number in one pen that we believe are not fit to load. The sheep are sold for $3.50 each; a price which concedes that the animals are in poor condition. We raise the problem with the management who shoot three sheep, however we remain concerned that the agent selling on behalf of a farmer sold the animals. There were also some pens holding too many animals and although we are informed the sheep are not penned this tight for the duration of the night, it remains an issue.
