Together with several police patrols and two official veterinarians Animals’ Angels inspects miscellaneous animal transports as part of wide-spread controls scheduled by the Italian police. The list of violations against the EU transport regulation is long: insufficient height of loading tiers (animals touch the ceiling with their heads or backs), injured animals, insufficient water supply, faulty ventilation systems, separation walls as risk of injury for the transported animals, etc. Multiple fines (several thousands of Euro) are imposed.
