Animals' Angels is monitoring the transport of lambs from Eastern Europe countries to Italy given the proximity of Easter.

Our team finds a truck transporting almost 700 lambs from Hungary to Italy. After following them for more than 4 hours, our team is able to check the conditions in which the animals are being transported. They find that the heads of the animals on the top decks are touching the ceiling, meaning that there is not enough space for the air to circulate properly, while some animals are not able to lie down at the same time.

After this, the team continues to follow the truck to a slaughterhouse near Acquapendente. This facility is the final destination for the lambs, after they struggled with stress and pain during the long journey that started in Hungary. Here, our team can hear the lambs’ last bleats.

With all the information acquired this day, Animals' Angels will contact the competent authorities to demand them to stop allowing the transport of these young creatures over long distances without the necessary requirement imposed by the current legislation.
