Together with the Italian animal rights organization LAV and Animals‘ Angels the Italian Police inspects a truck transporting calves from France to Italy. The accompanying documents are incomplete, the mandatory one hour rest for watering the animals wasn't scheduled and the device for logging temperatures inside the vehicle does not work. The Police imposes a fine of several thousand euros.
