19.08.2015 | Inspection of Turkey Transport

Early in the morning, on A2 motorway near Poznan, the team of Viva! Interwencje, on behalf of Animals' Angels, follows a truck transporting turkeys to a slaughterhouse.

Many birds are seen with their wings and legs hanging out the transport crates, posing a grave danger of fractures when the truck brakes or turns rapidly. The birds are unable to stand up naturally and some of them lie on top of each other. Many of them lack fur, what is most likely a result of overcrowding and the conditions they were kept in before.

The team documents their observations and files a complaint to the veterinary service.
