The team of Viva! Interwencje, on behalf of Animals’ Angels, again visits Konopki animal market to check whether the situation has changed after the latest observations had been presented to the county veterinarian.

Sadly, the team observes no improvement. The calves remain on board the trucks the whole time and are not unloaded until they are sold. The shelters and pens which are present at the market premise remain unused – as well as the mobile loading ramp which is also too steep for any animal to climb.

The team also witnesses the brutal loading of a calf whose tail is painfully twisted while he is dragged up a trucks' ramp. The team also observes piglets being sold outside the market in sealed plastic bags, out of trailers parked in the street.

The team suspects that the market is not supervised sufficiently, because no such personnel is seen at the market grounds. The county veterinarian and the private operator of the market will be confronted with the observed violations.
