ANIMALS’ ANGELS observe and document the transport of approx 3000 sheep and a number of cattle to the Bader for live animal export to Turkey. These animals will be slaughtered without pre-stunning. The ship arrived at Fremantle after loading animals in Portland Victoria. The feedlot which supplies the sheep is approx 270kms or at least 3 hours drive away and not many trucks arrive while we are present.  Eye issues are evident – according to the ASEL with which the exporter must comply, these animals should not leave the feedlot for the port. Density appears acceptable within the majority of the trucks we observe. Due to an incident we were unable to film more trucks.
