ANIMALS’ ANGELS observe and document the transport of approx 4610 sheep to the Bader for live animal export to Turkey. These animals will be slaughtered without pre-stunning. This is the 2nd day of loading. Density is near acceptable although we observe lack of height for the sheep to stand naturally. The journey from the feedlot is 270kms or 3 hours away and this is a long time for the animals to be restricted from standing in a natural position. A leg of a sheep protrudes into the deck below as it is caught in a hole in the floor and there are incidents of sheep on sheep. The state regulator arrives near the end of the loading of all animals.
