A team of ‘Viva! Poland’, on behalf of Animals' Angels, inspects a market in Skoczów, in the south-west of the country. There are over 2500 of poultry for sale, hens, chickens, and ducks among others, also piglets, and even rabbits. They are all kept in small cages, severely overcrowded, with no space to move. Many of them are sold in bags and dispatched in trunks, not only within Poland, but also to the Czech Republic. There is no real veterinary supervision, and the city council is not aware of what happens at the market each Thursday. The team will undertake proper steps to improve the situation.
