Again this Saturday, our Moroccan Animals‘ Angels team is there with the donkeys at Mers El Kheir Market in Temara. They arrive at 8:00 in the morning and immediately try to organize water for the animals – a difficult task as there is no water tap at the market. But during their many visits to the market, Ali, Habib and Boubaker have met a man running a food stand who willingly provides them with free water for the animals. The man really admires their effort, so he offers them to refill their water bottles at any time.
But it is not only water the animals need: our team spots some donkeys being emaciated and in bad condition – so Ali, Habib and Boubaker buy some kilos of fodder. Besides, they actively try to engage in talk with the owners and educate them on correct handling. Some of them seem interested and thankful for the help.
And there is another example giving hope: While Ali, Habib and Boubaker are caring for the donkeys waiting at the parking lot for the ‘working’ animals, coming along is the boy who had helped them last week. Again he is willing to lend a hand and he also brings in his brother to support them.
