Animals’ Angels visit this yard and note 150 sheep, 38 bobby calves and 25 cattle are for sale. The flooring in the sheep area is in poor repair with large holes and an uneven surface. The chance sheep standing on such a poor surface might develop sore feet is high and over time this can cause lameness. The users of the facility are prepared to lay rubber matting in a number of pens so that sheep with sore feet can rest on a softer surface.
We also asked the company to ensure theay have a penetrating bolt gun and trained users at the yard in case.
