Animals’ Angels visit the Swan Hill Regional Livestock Exchange Victoria for the first time. The sheep sales have ended for the year so we are surprised to find at least 6 sheep in a pen of approx. 40 sheep who are non-weight bearing.
One animal has an active abscess and must be in a great deal of pain. The yard management said they were unaware the animals especially those who should have been either treated or euthanased had been placed in their yard facility by a selling agent.
We arrange for the 6 sheep to be shot without delay and will be submitting a formal complaint to the authorities.
