Animals' Angels is back at the animal market of Chiquinquirá in Colombia. After a difficult time for the region during the Covid pandemic, we are finally able to be with the animals again today.
Since our last visit in 2020, some things have changed. The infrastructure has been improved somewhat and a new administrator has taken over the management of the market. What has not changed is the high number of animals that are brought to the market here every Wednesday and offered for sale. Today we brought our new leaflet 'The old parrot learns' (Colombian proverb about everlasting learning). With our educational approach we try to reach out to the farmers and traders at the market and open their hearts for a kinder treatment of the animals.
