Germany: Vegan Summer in Eckernförde

This year, we are taking part in the Vegan Summer in Eckernförde for the first time – a three-day event held right behind the beach against the beautiful backdrop of the Baltic Sea.

Exhibitors from all over the world are represented, all united by one common goal: a future in which animals are treated with dignity and respect.

The diversity of approaches towards achieving this goal is remarkable: animal sanctuaries that take in animals and give them the opportunity to live in freedom; numerous product manufacturers showcasing their latest vegan delicacies; chefs demonstrating the diversity of vegan cuisine; and animal welfare organizations – like us – raising awareness of current animal welfare issues. The event is accompanied by a diverse music program featuring concerts by various artists, as well as fascinating talks and presentations on a wide range of topics.

There is a lively exchange between exhibitors, visitors and organizers, and the conversations we had over the course of the weekend were characterized by empathy and compassion, but also by determination and a certain fighting spirit to stand up for animals.

We received a great deal of encouragement, and once again, this gives us the strength to continue standing up for animals with all our heart.
