Sridevi and our VSPCA team is at Makavarapalem animal market in the Narsipatnam region. Buffalos, chickens and goats are for sale. The market has no infrastructure. There is neither accommodation for the animals, nor food or water. The goats and chickens lie with their legs tied together on the dusty ground.
Sridevi documents everything and informs the responsible authorities about the problems. Like all markets in the state of Andhra Pradesh, this market also falls under the Supreme Court's decision of 2015, after it must have a well-developed infrastructure. We therefore send our findings not only to the local authorities but also to the competent ministry.
