Animals' Angels is in Qatar: We continue our commitment for the animals at the markets. We have already been able to improve many things for the animals here. But at the largest animal market in the country - where sheep, cattle and goats from the Arab region, Africa, Australia, Asia and Europe are sold - more monitoring and control is still needed.
To this end, we meet with the responsible ministry and the company that operates the market. With them we talk about the introduction of animal welfare officers in the market. Our negotiating partners are responding positively to this idea. We hope that it will be implemented at the beginning of 2024 and that the protection of animals at the markets in Qatar will thus take another step forward.
