To shed light on these animals and their role in human life in terms of nutrition, transport and coexistence – that is the aim of the Year of the Camels, says Fahad F. Bin Hithleen, founder and president of the International Camel Organisation (ICO). The International Year of the Camel is also intended to contribute to the United Nations' goals for sustainable development.
The ICO and Animals' Angels recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote the protection of camels worldwide. We are very much looking forward to the Year of the Camel 2024, when the protection of these wonderful animals will finally get on the agenda!
