Animals´ Angels meets the veterinary authorities in Bucharest to discuss our publication <link internal-link internen link im aktuellen>Myth of Enforcement and the need for a change of the existing legislation which is insufficient to assure minimum protection for animals on long distance transports.
Unfortunately, the Chief Veterinary Officer does not attend the meeting, without notice. Nevertheless, we ask the veterinary authority that Romania supports our request for a new law during the next meetings of the Council of Europe, joining several other member states which already expressed their opinion in favor to change Regulation 1/2005 on the protection of animals during transport.
