Animals' Angels is at Austin Pre-School and Primary School in Mpwapwa. We have brought something very special for our animal welfare lessons: at our suggestion, the animal welfare group at the Eichenlaubschule in Saarland has written letters to the pupils in Tanzania! These letters from Germany are decorated with stickers. They tell of the authors' commitment to animal welfare and are full of questions for the local children. The class at Mpwapwa is delighted with the surprise. The answers are carefully written and copied in beautiful handwriting. We have brought stickers to decorate them, and they are eager to put them on.
In July 2024 we will meet the animal welfare group from Eichenlaub School. We will give them the letters from Tanzania. And it may well be that replies will soon be on their way back to Tanzania and that pen-friendships will develop from the exchange.
Through pen-friendships, the pupils learn about animal welfare issues in other parts of the world and realise that there are children all over the world who care about animals.
