Tanzania: Day One at Agricultural Training Institute in Mabuki

For the second time, we visit the college in Mabuki where tomorrow’s animal inspectors and agricultural consultant are trained. This time we stay for three days at the campus. Together with the graduating class we address the very important topic of infrastructure at markets. With the help of our Education Package, we show the students why it is so important to properly care for the animals and treat them respectfully. Giving a critical look to intensive and industrial ‚animal farming’ in Germany, we discuss which consequences the rising meat consumption could bring for Tanzania.

To our class we also invited Richard Itaba, a friendly animal welfarist, who has recently founded his own animal welfare organization in Tanzania.
