We are back at the Kings' Hedges Pre- and Primary School in Mpwapwa, Tanzania. It is our second visit. Around 70 children are taking part in our animal welfare lessons this time. The pupils are between four and 13 years old.
Due to the different age groups, we are focussing primarily on teaching the Golden Rule 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you'. We have prepared a suitable read-aloud story about two boys and a donkey. We then talk to the older children about the importance of the Golden Rule and the topics of empathy and compassion.
Even the youngest children sing along enthusiastically to the final song "I am happy, I am kind". We would like to thank the school management for the invitation.
