A team of Animals’ Angels is back to Tanzania, bringing with them our extended Education Package for improving animal welfare at markets and during transport. We meet with directors of agricultural colleges, lecturers, animal welfare teachers and students who are being trained to become animal welfare inspectors and agricultural consultants. We present to them our material and hand it over to the relevant decision makers for using it in class from now on.
Our special concern is to prepare the students for the reality that awaits them at the markets. For this field trip we have also prepared accompanying material to be used by the students during our joint visits to cattle and goat markets.
We are very happy about the openness with which the topic of animal welfare is received at the colleges, and the positive response to our education program.
