Germany: Animal transport workshop in the subject of environmental education in Berlin

Sign on the wall with the school address

We are at the Green Campus Malchow, a large environmental school in north-east Berlin. We have been invited to conduct a workshop with a 6th grade class on the topic of animal transport. The students have already explored a wide range of topics relating to ‘farm’ animals. In our 90-minute unit, we jointly delve into the world of transport, the various stakeholders and the reasons for the sometimes long distances involved. Together, we take a look behind the scenes of Animals‘ Angels’ fieldwork and at the most common labels of animal products in the supermarket.

The students are committed to the subject and show great interest in the topic. We thank Julia Engelhardt very much for the invitation and the great organisation. We would love to come back!

A big thank you also goes to Musella Foundation for a socio-ecological future, which financially supports our educational project and thus makes it possible.
