Animal Transports to the Canary Islands: After our Complaint, the Spanish Authorities Finally see the need for Action

Animal Transport Teneriffe

Positive news from Spain: The authorities have responded to our complaint about the untenable conditions on the long distance animal transports to the Canary Islands. They finally see a need for action for the animals - now they want to take concrete measures and monitor the organization of the ferry transports more closely. In addition, they want to carry out systematic controls and encourage the expansion of the infrastructure at the ports so that the animals can be unloaded from the trucks here for breaks. This is a small success! We welcome any measure that can reduce the suffering of the animals. Of course, we will continue to be with the animals on this route and see if these words are followed by actions.
