Our second VeggieWorld of the year took us to Hamburg – and once again, we were able to enjoy many inspiring encounters. The conversations with visitors touch and enrich us every time. Their openness, interest, and compassion for the issue of animal transport give us courage and hope: despite all challenges and setbacks, we are moving forward together. This was also reflected in the large turnout this year. The lines at the exhibition stands were several meters long – perhaps a sign of the societal change that seems to be slowly taking place.
Our work is always fully dedicated to the animals – 100 percent. We document their fate, report on it, and expose abuses. The pace of their systematically shortened lives is determined by human hands. Consumption, moral standards, and economic interests dictate the length and quality of their existence.
That is why it is crucial to be present with the animals on the ground. Equally important is advocating on a political level for laws that provide genuine protection for animals. And last but not least, dialogue with people is essential: only through education and raising awareness can we give a voice to those who would otherwise be forced to remain silent.
In addition to many engaging conversations, we were also given the opportunity this year to hold a presentation about our observations, demands, and work. We were delighted by the positive feedback and the keen interest in this important topic.
Our commitment to the animals continues tirelessly – on every level.
