Wiesbaden, Germany - ‘Farm’ animals’ project days at Oranienschule School

Project day at the Oranienschule School on Wiesbaden

Animals’ Angels is visiting the Oranienschule, a school in Wiesbaden. We are spending the morning with 24 highly motivated young people. All of them chose the topic of farm animals for their four project days this year. Thanks to their dedicated teacher, they have already spent two of those days on field trips, visiting organic farms and learning about how farm animals are kept there.

We were invited to take a look at conventional animal farming in Germany together with the students and to shed light on the issue of animal transport. Together, we explore how a large proportion of farm animals spend their lives, why almost every farm animal is transported at least once, and why these transports often cover long distances. The students are incredibly interested, fully engage in the interactive activities, and work with great enthusiasm and empathy. It is also wonderful that four students from the upper grades are accompanying the project day and supporting its implementation.

We would like to sincerely thank the school for the invitation and the excellent organization!
