The Animals’ Angels Hike for the Animals on Transport

Together on the Albschäfer Trail

This year, our hike will take us along the 160-kilometre Albschäfer Trail in the Heidenheim Brenz region. We will cover more than 2,100 metres of elevation over the course of the journey. In eight stages, we aim to raise awareness of the suffering endured by animals during transport and of the work Animals’ Angels does to protect them. As in previous years, we invite people to meet us along the way and join the conversation.

We sweat – You donate

This motto will once again accompany us on our hike in 2026. However, the focus remains on the animals suffering during transport: We want to remember them and dedicate each stage of the hike to a different animal – so that their suffering will not be forgotten.

Solidarity with the animals

At the heart of Animals’ Angels’ work is solidarity with the animals suffering during transport. We want to dedicate each stage of our hike to an animal we have encountered. Among others, we want to remember the hen Ana Sofía. In October 2025, she was transported by ferry from Spain to Tenerife together with 10,000 other hens. The ferry crossing alone takes more than 52 hours.

In 2025, our hike along the Heidschnucken Trail raised €49,000 to support the work of Animals’ Angels. We hope to achieve the same goal again this year. That is why we ask you:
