Animals' Angels returns to Campia Turzii to check the weekly animal market. Three complaints were sent to the competent authorities, two meetings with the local veterinary inspectors took place but the market continues to operate in violation of Council Regulation EC No. 1/2005 on the protection of animals during transport and related operations.
The handling of the animals is very rough and the means of transport do not comply with basic provisions to ensure minimum welfare. Today the team distributes leaflets and talks to the animals' owners to raise awareness.
Animals' Angels will continue to make pressure to officials to enforce the minimum protection guaranteed by the European legislation on 'farm' animals.
