ANIMALS’ ANGELS visits Pakenham for the horse sale. The day is 37ºC however the sale is undertaken under cover. There are 71 horses and ponies for sale, all are fit to sell and transport, all are provided with bedding and water in the sale pens, and are handled well. All transports are appropriate even the kill buyer’s truck has rubber matting on the floor and all loading occurred in compliance with legal requirements. The selling agents remained at the yard to ensure loading was finished by 1630.
