The team of Viva! Interwencje, on behalf of Animals' Angels investigates Zagórowo animal market in western Poland. The market premise is a brand new investment, reopened after administrative closure. According to local press, the market premise now meets all neccessary requirements.

The team arrives at the market before dawn finding dozens of hens and ducks tucked in too small cages without any water, handled violently and piglets loaded in a violent way. Yet, most shocking is the laziness of the farmers and the market operator’s total ignorance of the resulting problem as the farmers bringing calves to the market do not even unload them and just keep them onboard their trucks for several hours, despite the new pens for cattle being just 20 metres away. The pens are the only place where water supply is available, therefore none of the calves is provided with water.

The team investigates the newly built pens thoroughly and finds out that the concrete floor has never been stepped on by an animal. This observation leads to the conclusion that millions of Polish taxes have been wasted on the construction of an infrastructure that the market operator is unable to make the farmers use of.

The team will take proper legal steps in the case.
