Today our Animals' Angels head office in Frankfurt is sending our freshly printed report <link internal-link internen link im aktuellen>„Animal Markets Poland“ to over 200 EU officials and politicians across Europe.
The report summarizes the results of many years of investigations in Poland. With the support of Viva! Interwencje we have inspected and monitored more than 20 'farm' animal markets since 2012. The result: binding European regulations are widely ignored at animal markets across the country and the relevant authorities fail to enforce the law on a regular basis. As a consequence, animals are severely suffering.
Our report shines a light on the problems and requests urgently needed change. At the same time, Viva! Interwencje is preparing the launch of the market campaign in Poland. On Monday the report will be sent to Polish politicians, authorities and media.
