Within wide-spread inspections in the region of Piedmont the Italian Police, together with the Italian animal rights organization LAV and Animals’ Angels, inspects a vehicle transporting cows to a slaughterhouse within Italy. Some cows are tethered insomuch that they aren´t able to move their heads properly. Especially for one cow the ceiling is adjusted too low. Due to hours of grinding an open wound has emerged at her back. The cow is unloaded at a nearby control post in order to further transport her in a different vehicle. The Police imposes several fines.
