Animals’ Angels attend the Katanning Saleyard where 12020 sheep are for sale.
We do not observe any sheep who are unfit in a sale pen. However a large number of sheep were removed upon arrival and from during drafting and placed in an isolation pen. They were shot later in the day. Farmers are still sending sheep to the facility who are not fit to transport.
We requested the authority notify farmers that this is unacceptable.
