Animals‘ Angels visits Timiriam animal market. At temperatures of 38 °C, cattle, goats and chicken are sold all throughout the day.
Together with the VSPCA-team, we attend an appointment with the market veterinarian, the market director and local police to discuss the severe shortcomings. We are told that the market is privately owned and that the authorities can’t do much about it. But the market director seems open for talks and invites our team to regularly visit the market to jointly take action.
We accept his offer and will soon inspect the market again. We will inform the authorities about the results.
