The International Congress on Animal Reproduction is held in Bologna from 26 to 30 June 2022. Prof. Dr. Barbara Padalino uses this high-level event to present the guidelines developed by the University of Bologna and Animals' Angels for the assessment of camel husbandry conditions and to make it clear that there must be no breeding improvements without also improving animal welfare conditions. It is important to insist on that because animal welfare still gets too little attention in science.
