The Christmas season in Poland is already ongoing, and the live fish have already appeared in supermarkets. The team of Viva! Interwencje, on behalf of Animals' Angels, started this years’ inspection by documenting violations and abuse of the fish, not only by the clerks, but also by the customers, who buy live carps in sealed plastic bags.
Even though the fish-tanks are not yet as crowded as they will probably be shortly before Christmas, there are already many wounded and dying ones drifting in the tanks. The investigations will go on until Christmas and the findings will be made public, with some of them most likely resulting in prosecutions.
