Australia: Visiting Boyanup Saleyard

Animals’ Angels visit Boyanup Saleyard to check on the condition of the approximately 330 cattle and calves for sale. The sale commences at 9am and finishes by 9.45am. In our view all the animals are fit for sale and transport. They have water in the troughs and in most pens there is sufficient space for them to access the trough. There are a few however, where the cattle would have to push other cattle to reach the trough.

Handling is acceptable. By 11.30am, all animals are out of the selling pens and either in soft floor pens with large water troughs or are being loaded for transport.
