Australia: Visiting Tarameade Poultry Market

Animals’ Angels visit Tarameade poultry market for the first time. The caging is a very high standard, with each cage having sufficient room for the bird to stand naturally, sufficient room to move and with water provided.  All birds and small animals were fit to sell and transport.

There were staff present to assist buyers and sellers handle and transport animals appropriately, however some education is required to ensure those attending understand what is legally and ethically required of them.

The DEDJTR were not present although it appears they have been here at some time because there is a poster showing unacceptable and acceptable handling and transport of birds.
