The market is small and has no infrastructure. The buffalos are either tied to trucks or have their forelegs tied together to prevent them from running away. The chickens lie on the dusty ground, with strings tied around their legs. The VSPCA meets with the market committee on-site and demands better care for the animals.
The market can only take place if there is accommodation for the chickens and at least a water connection and watering facilities for the animals. The authorities are open to the criticism that has been levelled and will endeavour to make improvements in the near future. The VSPCA will soon re-control the market.
