Animals' Angels is with the animals at the market in Zipaquirá, Colombia. The effects of the pandemic and the consequences of the economic crisis are clearly visible here: From formerly 2,000 animals that arrived here every Tuesday, there are now less than 500.
The infrastructure on the site has improved somewhat. We talk to the people and educate them about the needs of their animals, because "the old parrot learns". This is also the title of our new flyer, which we have sensitively created for the market visitors and are distributing here today.
We will visit the market regularly and hope very much that we can move the people here to more empathy, solidarity and care towards the animals.
