Our Animals' Angels team with Ayoub and Boubaker in Morocco is back in action for the animals at the market in Skherat.
Our team starts its visit on the field which is used as a 'parking lot' for the donkeys, mules and horses. They are happy to see that some donkeys and horses have already been unsaddled by their owners. Unfortunately, not all of them do so yet. The animals are then unable to relax properly the whole time because the carts are weighing heavily on their backs. Our team unsaddles the horses so that they can rest a bit. Afterwards our team buys some carrots and while Ayoub distributes them among the waiting animals, Boubaker cleans, strokes and grooms them.
Also today our team unfortunately could not find Nassim the donkey. He had a wound on his leg during our last visit, caused by a thin tether rope. But our team will visit the market again in the next weeks to be with the animals – and keep looking for Nassim.
