The team of Viva! Interwencje, on behalf of Animals' Angels, together with another polish organization, TOZ from Milanówek, inspect a premise near Nadarzyn, in response to an information concerning poor maintenance conditions of goats and poultry.
The small premise turns out to be a total mess with plenty of dangerous items scattered around. The animals have no proper shelter besides one being too small and extremely dirty. The most serious problem comes up when the team opens one of the tiny sheds finding inside animal remains and slaughter equipment. The amount of hooks, knives, axes and ropes suggests that this illegal facility kills large numbers of animals. The team also finds remains of sheep and goats in plastic bags outside. The team alerts the local veterinary service office. The inspectors arrive quickly, put official seals on the shed and initiate due procedures against the property owner.
The goats kept at the property are underfed, but one of them, the smallest and skinniest, looks really bad. He is panting and limping on one leg. The team decides on his immediate confiscation. One of the ducks is also seen lying down and having difficulties walking. One of her joints is swollen and probably fractured. Both animals are taken to a veterinary clinic immediately.
The team has already submitted a proper notion to the local city council and will take all possible steps towards the confiscation of all the animals. The owner will also face prosecution for animal abuse and illegal slaughter.
